ADAM SKYDIVING

Adam went Skydiving Saturday August 22. It was fun for him but scary for me! I really hope I don't have to watch that ever again in my life. They took him up 17,000 feet and you couldn't even see the plane. Then they free fall for 1 minute until they open the shoot. He said it was a big rush and he was right. I never want that rush again!!! But I am glad he had fun. Don't do that to me again ADAM!!!!

HOLY TOLEDO!!

Rob and I had a great time in Toledo Ohio going back to see the latest grandchild....Little Robby.
Steven and Jenni are doing great and they live by a really pretty river about a block away. It was nice that alot of family could go. We took Ben back with us and Steven was happy to see his brother. Jenni's family brought her 3 brothers and her Mom and Dad and sister-in-law. Also, her sister Megan came from Switzerland.

CUTE LITTLE GUY!

I tore a ligament in my ankle walking in the Park and it kind of ruined the rest of the sight seeing thing for me. I guess it takes 6-8 weeks to heal and I have to tell you...it really hurts. And you get all that plus you feel like an elephant because your ankle swells times 3 and turns purple from all the bruising.

The river by their house

Ben and Steven and Jenni and the baby

Jared Hiatt and his lovely wife Malissa and their darling little girl Olivia came up from Michigan to be with us on the blessing day. He is attending Med school in Michigan

They have this little bakery around the corner and it is very good!!

SWEET BABY!!!

I watched my daughter's little girl this week...Rylee. Love her to death!! Liz went to get her hair done. When she came home she told me that she and her hairdresser were visiting about how long they have been married and it dawned on Liz that it was her Anniversary that day!!! Aug 6. Funny thing, her husband forgot as well! She hurried and called him and they made a date to go out to dinner that night!!! Happy Anniversary Liz and Justin. Hope you don't forget next year!!! Thats what you get when you are so busy that you can't even think!!! Slow down!!

MUD VOLLEYBALL!!!!!

AS many of you know.....I am the Young Women's President in my ward. We have an annual event of flinging mud at each other!! It is suppose to be mud volleyball but I never saw a ball. We did have alot of fun though and I hear mud is good for the skin????? It left a film on my hair for several days!!!
Steven and Jenni had a bouncing baby boy this week....he weighed 8lbs 8oz. We are very happy for them. They of course are very excited!!! They have been married 4 years now. Rob and I are going to Toledo Ohio this week to see the little guy.

Last Wednesday night we took the Young Women to a place called White Elegance...They sell temple dresses. First of all they spoke to them about the Temple and got them thinking a little bit about why we really go to the Temple. They went around and asked each one of the Girls what they were doing to prepare to go through the temple. I thought a leaders response was wonderful.....she said......surround yourself with good friends that will uplift you.....so that it will be easier to live the gospel. I thought that was a very good suggestion. Also there are some great books and pamphlets that the church puts out that explains why we have temples and how important the endowment is. Anyway, we had a wonderful night and the girls loved trying on the dresses. Everyone is in white in the temple and no one is above the other. We are all equal in the eyes of the Lord...... Aren't they beautiful?

Well, Rob and I finally took a break and went to California to visit my Dad who currently lives in Lake Elsinore. They have a nice home in a communtiy down there that has 2 nice swimming pools. Rob and I took advantage of the situation and spent a few relaxing moments by the pool. It was nice to visit with my Dad and Gina. Ok, so we go up to the pool and what do you think was in there? Yup......two mallard ducks that flew in from who knows where! I guess they think this is their new home. I'm afraid if they spend too much time there they just might wind up dead from someone shooting them. They kept getting in and out of the pool and laying under the tree. It was actually kind of fun to watch! Also had a little time to do some shopping at one of the outlet malls there. That is always fun...well for me....not for Rob. But I did pick up on some good deals...

Dads house has several lakes around it...This is a private Lake and only the people who live around it have access to it. It is called Canyon Lake. It is really beautiful!

This is a picture of my Dad's home in Lake Elsinor. We ate like kings and queens when we were there. His son-in-law, Dan, is living with them right now and he is a gourmet cook! He fixed us a nice dinner every day. Gina, my stepmom is recovering from having kidney cancer surgery. She is doing very well and they got it in time... We are very grateful.

It's that fun day tomorrow called Easter! I was at Walmart today and saw Adam's friend...Blake. He stopped and talked to me and asked me why we dye Easter Eggs...

I said, "I don't know"......we do it because our Moms did it! Does anyone know why we dye eggs? I know the egg stands for new life and is symbolic of the Resurrection.

Anyway, another fun tradition at our house is the bunny cake.....I had fun making this one today and I always miss the kids being little when I make it!! I am looking forward to the grandkids getting excited about it though. Happy Easter Everyone!!!

May we all be sooooo grateful for the atonement and sacrifice of the Savior for without it there would be no hope in this world!

Thursday, April 9, 2009

So.....I am coming home from Walmart and I see two of my Young Women walking down the street toward my house with baseball mitts on. Sierra and Savannah. I stop and talk to them and give them some Cadbury Carmel eggs and ask them where they are going................They say ,"We are going to your house to play catch!" Oh, ok, Well come on down....I feel privileged to have you play in my front yard. So they did..........

I decided that I would fix them a Jamba Juice and invite them in because they looked pretty thirsty and tired..So I did!

We had the nicest visit and shared some secrets too!(you know what I mean Sierra and Savannah!) They were even brave enough to try my new recipe for Macaroni and Cheese I made! How lucky am I to have such cool girls! They are awesome!!!!!

My Brother Greg and His Wife Joann
Just called to be in the Quorum of the 70
We are all very Happy for Greg and Joann. Today he was called to be a member of the 2nd Quorum of the Seventy. How Exciting! It really isn't a suprise to us however. My children have always said that someday Uncle Greg would be called to be a General Authority. What a good example he and his wife and family have been to all of us. Truly christlike and devoted to the Lord. We wish Greg and Joann the very best and where ever the Lord calls him to serve, we know that he will do a great job with a very supportive loving wife behind him. We are proud of you and love you very much Greg and Joann!

SEE THIS CUTE GIRL?

She is one of my young women. She is a beehive. We had an activity tonight and right out of the blue she said..........."Sister Toller, do you still have all of your teeth? " What kind of question is that? ?? Do I look that old ?Man, I didn't know that you lost your teeth this early in life! I think I will ask the Bishop to release me next week!

When it was Halloween time I took a little trip down to Gardner Village with Liz and Justin and Ben and Jamie and the kids. We got a cute picture of them! What a fun day that was and next year all of the girls want to dress up like witches and go on witches day.
Steven and Jenni, our son and his wife are currently living in Toledo Ohio for the next 3 years. They are expecting their first child.....a boy. He is attending Med School at the Toledo University. We miss them and we will miss seeing little junior grow up the next 3 years, but hopefully we can make a few trips and they will also.
